Rain ShinSeKyung Rain & Shin Se Kyung Pair Up for New Korean War Movie Red Scarf

Wow! Shin Se Kyung gets her second great challenge to prove her acting skill.

While, she is currently busy with filming of her upcoming thriller movie ‘Blue Salt’ in which she plays alongside top Korean actor Song Kang Ho, now she has been reportedly chosen as female lead in upcoming Korean war movie called ‘Red Scarf’. This time, she co-works with World star RAIN.

‘Red Scarf’ which is considering to be re-titled to ‘Livng in the Sky’, revolves a story around the bombardment incident of Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. While Rain is set to play as a fighter plane and Shin is his love interest, who is also an auto mechanic.

With that theme, the movie has reportedly gained so much attention from people due to recent tensions between North and South. Of course, I don’t think it’s such a great idea to give more tensions, but I still find it’ll be interesting.

The movie which has a $10 million USD production budget and the full support of the air force, is in the pre-production and will begin filming in January 2011.

LeeJOngSuk Secret Gardens Lee Jong Suk Added to Rains Blockbuster Movie Living in the Sky

Actor Lee Jong Suk who has stolen people’s attention for his role as a gay whose crush to Oska in just-ended smash-hit drama ‘Secret Garden’, has recently been reported to join the cast of upcoming blockbuster movie ‘Living in the Sky’ co-starring top Korean star Rain and rising actress Shin Se Kyung.

The movie covers the story of the Korean air force pilots who risk their lives and sacrifice their love to complete their mission to fight at the Korean Peninsula. Rain plays as the fighter pilot, while Shin as his love interest and also his mechanic. And Lee takes the role of a junior fighter pilot to Rain’s character.

‘Living in the Sky’ also starring Lee Ha Na (Le Grand Chef) and Kim Sung Soo (My Precious Child) will start the filming sometime this month.

r2b cast Main Trailer Released for Rains R2B: Return to Base!

The main trailer is out for the upcoming war movie ‘R2B: Return to Base’ starring Rain and Shin Se Kyung as a high-skilled pilot fighter and his love interest. I don’t know why it takes so long to make a release because as far as I notice the filming of the movie has been wrapped up for a quite long time ago. Or we can say it ended before Rain enlisted to the army last year. I’ve been never really hooked into a Korean-war type of project, so I don’t know what to expect from this movie too. But, the effect looks quite awesome in the trailer. So, maybe I’ll give it a try.

‘R2B: Return to Base’ also starring Yoo Joon Sang, Lee Ha Na, Kim Sung Soo, Lee Jong Suk, and Jung Seok Won premires in August.

The first trailer and poster are out for Rain’s blockbuster movie ‘R2B: Run to Base’ (previously known as ‘Red Scarf’), which also marks his last project before enlisting to the army last year. Rain plays a combat fighter. He’s a gifted pilot, but he’s also a troublemaker, filled with curiosity and playfulness. Joining in the cast are also Shin Se Kyung, Kim Sung Soo, Lee Ha Na, Yoo Joon Sang, and Lee Jong Suk. The movie will be released in August.
