Lee Byung Hun Cameo to New Japanese Drama

November 25th, 2010 by admin | Posted under Korean Celebrities.

Top Korean actor Lee Byung Hun has drawn much attention from Japanese people ever since his last year’s blockbuster spy-action drama ‘IRIS’ was broadcast in the country. His agency revealed that Lee has been receiving requests to star in Japanese dramas.

Now, it’s been revealed that Lee has been confirmed to appear as guest-star in Fuji TV’s new drama called ‘Diplomat Kuroda Kousaku’ starring top Japanese actor Oda Yuji. It’ll be his first time to take part in a Japanese series.

The drama is a remake of a hit Japanese movie that centers around a diplomat who solves mysterious cases while revealing the dark side to diplomacy. Lee will play as an old friend of that diplomat who will be played by Oda Yuji. Lee will be a Korean-American and speak all his lines in English. (Well, there is nothing problem. I think Lee is one of the best Korean actors who can speak English very well.)

Diplomat Kuroda Kousaku’ is schedule to air every Thursday at 10 p.m starting January. And Lee will appear in the first portion of the drama.
