For the second time, singer IU will be on TV as an actress. After her debut on Dream High season 1 that was incredibly popular, now she is ready for her next drama. KBS officialy announced that IU has been pointed as the lead female role for upcoming KBS2 drama series THE BEST LEE SOON-SHIN. In the drama series, she will act as Lee Soo Shin who Because of her father’s sudden death, she and her mother fall in trouble then, this encourages both of them to attempt to find happiness.
For IU’s male partner in the drama, KBS pointed actor Jo Jung-Suk as the lead roles. Jo Jung-Suk plays Shin Joon-Ho who runs an entertainment agency. He is over confident, arrogant and cold-blooded. By meeting Lee Soon-Shin, he realizes the meaning of true success and also changes. Both will make love line which also becomes one of cores of the story of The Best Lee Soo Shin.
Besides of them, seemingly actress Yoo In Na set to co-star. The confirmation was made through an announcement by Yoo In Na’s management agency, YG Entertainment. The actress will play the heroine Lee Soon Shin’s sister, who is a a freelance writer and public relations professional.
The drama is co-production between director Seong-sik Yun who successfully helmed Bridal Mask and the writer Jung Yoo-Gyung. THE BEST LEE SOON-SHIN will air Saturdays & Sundays at 10pm beginning this March after the conclusion of drama series “Seo-Young, My Daughter”.
